Sanusi Lamido speaks on reports of him marrying a 17 year old girl

The Ex-CBN Governor and also the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido has denied reports of him planning to take in a 17 year old daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa as bride. The Emir, who already has three wives, denied the report to Sahara Reporters via one of his aides. He said "that he fully supports the right of children not to get forcibly married before attaining the constitutionally stipulated age of 18 years" but he didn't rule out the possibility of marrying a fourth wife. The Emir advised people to wait to see the real age of his wife even if he decides to take in another woman as bride.
